Getting prepped for module two

Last week I attended the first Skype session back after completing module one. It was open to everyone from all modules and provided insight into how everyone was feeling about where they were in their BAPP journey. We spoke about the best ways to get prepared for the next part of the course, our thoughts and concerns as we move into the next module, and heard tips and advice from each other on on how to get the most out of our learning experiences. Some key points I took away were:

- When writing blog post keep them short and sweet. Around 400 words in order to keep them accessible to all who are reading them. This is also a great way to practice getting your point across in a clear and concise way - a skill that is beneficial!

-  Organize all of your work spaces. Create a physical space to do the work or find a location that works well for you. Prepare yourself mentally, know the course dates, the scope of work to be completed, and schedule yourself to work at times that fit in well with your professional practice. Lastly Helen mentioned getting your web 2.0 space in order, make sure your blog is set up, files are organized, and you have an internet connection for Skype sessions and research etc.

- Keep communicating! Use your advisors and fellow students to explore theories and discuss ideas. This is something I plan to do more of as I move through module 2 mainly by commenting on more blogs posts and being present for online discussion groups.

OK time to get going, I have my handbook printed and highlighters ready as I start to unpack this next module!
